Children’s Hospital to partner with Mon Health

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Mon Health Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC will partner to deliver enhanced newborn medicine services in West Virginia.

The partnership, announced Wednesday, will include newborn and pediatric medicine services for families in West Virginia beginning next Spring.

Children’s Hospital will provide pediatric services at Mon Health Medical Center’s newborn nursery, eventually including coverage for the emergency department and inpatient unit.

The Mon Health Birth Center delivers 1,200 babies a year. They will receive care by a team led by Children’s neonatologists and nurse practitioners.
