Cool Springs fire under investigation

COOL SPRINGS, W.Va. – A state fire marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of a Monongalia County fire.

Cool Springs Volunteer Firefighters arrived to flames coming out of a home at 87 Mountainview Road Monday at approximately 1:10 p.m.

Nobody was home at the time. There were no injuries.

Firefighters from Granville, Brookhaven, Masontown, Clinton District and Reedsville responded to the fire.

The scene was cleared within 3 hours.

Firefighters said the fire was mainly contained to the living room of the home. There is extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the house.
