Fairmont man killed on the job

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death of a man killed on the job this week in Monongalia County.

Douglas Peterman, 34, was electrocuted Monday while working in a bucket truck along Cold Spring Road. Peterman apparently came in contact with low hanging power lines. He was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Peterman worked for West Side Telecommunications. The incident happened Monday morning.
