Former WVU football player in court for sentencing

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A former WVU football player who has been sentenced in two separate crimes wants to serve his time outside of West Virginia

D’Vante Henry entered court Monongalia County Court Thursday already on home confinement for a sex abuse conviction.

Circuit Court Judge Russell Clawges sentenced Henry, 23, to one to five years in prison for conspiracy in connection to a robbery.

If Oklahoma authorities approve Henry’s request to serve time there, Clawges will suspend the sentence to home confinement.
