Fugitive Arrested Following High Street Struggle

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A 26-year-old male is in custody following a disturbance on High Street in Morgantown early Sunday morning.

Officers of the Morgantown Police Department were on foot patrol and approached a group of individuals involved in a disturbance to intervene before a physical altercation broke out. One of the individuals, later identified as Reece Dillon Shepard, attempted to flee the area.

A brief struggled ensued as officers, along with a good Samaritan, helped to subdue the suspect.

Shepard was wanted by the Green County Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office for firearms violations. He was booked into the North Central Regional Jail as a fugitive and is currently awaiting extradition.
