Home destroyed after fire in Fairmont

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A home in Marion County was destroyed after a Thursday fire.
Crews responded to the scene at approximately 4 p.m. in Fairmont’s East Side just off Elkins Street.
According to officials with the Fairmont Fire Department, one of the four people home at the time was injured, but each one, along with the family pets were able to be rescued.
The building is considered to be a total loss.
