Monongalia County opens three polling sites for early voting April 27

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Voters do not have to wait until May 10th to cast their ballots in West Virginia’s primary election. Early voting begins Wednesday April 27 and runs through May 7.

Early voting continues to gain popularity for voters who find it difficult to get to the polls on election.

“Early voting has become very popular because of its convenience and the ease of being able to get in and out,” said Monongalia County Clerk Carye Blaney.

In Monongalia County, early voting locations have been added for 2016 primary election. Locations have been setup at the Mountaineer Mall, Mason Dixon Park and Pierpont Landing.

“We’ve added additional locations and extended the hours to try to accommodate more voters as they come to and from work.”

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all three locations.
