Morgantown police arrest Michigan man in connection with armed robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Police in Morgantown have arrested a Detroit man in connection with a May robbery at the Boost Mobile store on High Street in downtown.

On May 21 police respnded to the robbery shortly after 10 p.m. and began processing the scene. The suspect was identified as a black male, of average height and average build, wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white lettering on the left leg and black tennis shoes. The suspect had a black in color backpack and was armed with a black and silver semi-automatic handgun.

Around noon on Thursday police and members of the Mon Metro Drug Task Force located and arrested Ivan Robert Nelson, 35, of Detroit, Michigan, for the May robbery and an outstanding drug-related warrant.

Nelson is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
