Morgantown police arrest one, confiscate drugs

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A Morgantown man is facing multiple charges following a raid by the Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crime Task Force on an apartment on Montrose Street.

Detectives say Clay Westbrook, 38, had a substantial amount of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, packaging materials, scales, a pistol and ammunition.

A background determined Westbrook had been convicted in 2014 for kidnapping, sexual battery and false imprisonment. Police say Westbrook admitted to trading $75 in methamphetamine to the woman in Duval, Florida for the pistol he was caught with in Morgantown.

Westbrook also admitted to selling drugs in Morgantown and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
