FAIRMONT, W.Va. – One person has died in a Wednesday structure fire in Fairmont.
Reports indicate the fire was reported in the 800 block of Locust Street just before noon. One woman was able to escape the home and a neighbor helped another resident out.
One male and several pets did not survive the blaze. One firefighter was also injured.
No damage estimate is available and the cause is under investigation.
