Three arrested in Mon County theft investigation

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Detectives from the mon County Sheriff’s Department say three arrests have been made in s string of catalytic converter and storage unit thefts. So far in 2021, police say they have investigated 30 stolen catalytic converter thefts and break-ins at six storage units.

Police have arrested Robert D. Moon II, 24, Jeremy D. Angle, 23, and Brian K. Mayle Jr., 24, all of Morgantown.

As a result of search warrants related to the arrests some of the stolen property has been returned to the owners.

Detectives are still investigating these thefts and additional arrests are expected.

Mon County detectives were assisted by the WVU Police Department, Morgantown Police Department, Westover Police Department, Star City Police Department, Mon Metro Drug Task Force and the West Virginia State Police.
