Two Arrested on Drug Charges During Traffic Stop

UPSHUR COUNTY, W. Va. — A traffic stop in Upshur County resulted in the arrest of two people from North Central West Virginia who now face drug and firearm possession charges.

On Monday, deputies from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office pulled over Rocky Idleman, 38, of Glenville, and Clarissa Adkins, 24, of Shinnston, and found methamphetamine, pills, marijuana, scales, packaging materials, multiple thousands of dollars in cash, and multiple firearms.

Idleman is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and as a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

Adkins is charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and escape.

Both are in Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
