Two suspects arrested for daytime burglary

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Two people are facing charges after breaking into a home on Grant Avenue in Morgantown Wednesday afternoon.

Tyree Adarryl Jones, 31, of Morgantown, and Brendon Marcelleous Bragg, 23, of Detroit, Michigan, were both charged with daytime burglary and booked into the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Morgantown Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, after concerned citizens saw a broken window and knew that the resident was not home.

Jones and Bragg attempted to flee, running between apartments in the Sunnyside area. Officers apprehended the suspects near Beechurst Avenue and Fifth Street.

Following a brief struggle, they were both taken into custody and found to be in possession of items that were stolen from the residence.
