FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Highways has announced a temporary road closure for work on I-79 in Marion County.

County Route 60, Vinegar Hill Road, will be closed Thursday while crews conduct a concrete pour on the I-79 Tygart River bridge retaining walls.

The work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, but poor weather or conditions on the ground could extend the schedule.

Local traffic will be allowed to get through the area during the closure.

Motorists are advised to make changes to their commute routes if required.
