Drugs, weapons confiscated during Upshur County warrant service

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. Deputies from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department confiscated three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, prescription drugs, six guns, and made one arrest over the weekend.

Deputies served a search warrant at a property on Gladys Fork Road between Weston and Horner on Saturday and made contact with William J. Lacey.

During the search, police recovered three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, six firearms, and prescription pills.

Lacey has been charged with transporting a controlled substance into the state, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.

Lacey is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
