FAIRMONT, W.Va. A Farmington man has been charged after deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department allege he pointed a loaded shotgun at a female.

Monday, deputies responded to the Jolly Lane home and found Ricky Fluharty lying in bed with a shotgun at his feet.

Through the investigation, deputies learned Fluharty became angry with a female in the home and pointed the loaded shotgun at her. Deputies also said the victim feared for her because of Fluharty’s actions.

Fluharty has been convicted of felony DUI and is prohibited from owning a firearm.

Deputies said the shotgun Fluharty pointed at the woman had a round in the chamber and two more in the tube.

A second shotgun was found under a couch in the residence.

Fluharty has been charged with wanton endangerment and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $12,024 cash bail.
