PHILIPPI, W.Va. One person is behind bars after threatening to shoot an officer with the Philippi Police Department in the face following a traffic stop Monday.
Clifton Findley was stopped by the officer, then hours later went to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department to speak with a deputy who had assisted.
When the deputy explained he didn’t know about the threat, Findley then told the police they were not going to arrest his cousin and to leave Philippi. Findley then allegedly repeated the threat, saying he was going to shoot the police officers in the face.
Findley was then arrested for making terrorist threats and taken to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, where he is being held.
