NEW MILTON, W.Va. A Doddridge County woman is facing charges after an unresponsive two-year-old in her care tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.
Deputies initially responded to the complaint at the United Hospital Center in November 2023.
As the investigation developed, deputies learned Gabrielle Charles, 24, used marijuana in front of the child and was involved in a relationship with an active methamphetamine addict.
Charles has been charged with child neglect and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
