MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. A woman has been arrested in Monongalia after allegedly attacking her husband and forcing him and the children into the basement until police arrived.
The male victim told deputies he thought Dana Thel was intoxicated and was in a bedroom upstairs, but wasn’t sure because he fled to the basement with the children.
The male victim was bleeding from the back of the head and had cuts on his neck and upperback. Deputies said the victim was visibly shaken when they arrived.
When deputies encountered Thel in a hallway upstairs, she refused to comply and became a dead weight when police tried to take her into custody.
Thel allegedly kicked one of the deputies as they escorted her from their home.
Thel has been charged with domestic battery and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
