Former Morgantown foster parent admits to hundreds of decades-old abuse allegations

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A Morgantown man is facing sexual assault and sexual abuse charges after a lengthy investigation.

In Sept. of 2023, Morgantown police received a report of hundreds of cases abuse involving William Wiley, 65 between 1985 and 1992 when the victinm was 10 to 15 years old.

Wiley told detectives he accepts responsibility for huis actions and added he was a foster parent to the child receiving payments from the Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) during the time the victim being abused.

Wiley has been charged with sexual assault and sexual abuse and is being held in North Central Regional Jail on a $75,000 bond.
