BUCKHANNON, W.Va. Deputies from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a potentially dangerous fugitive.
Robert “RJ” Beam Jr. bonded out of the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on March 13 and reportedly cut his ankle monitoring device just before midnight the next day, March 14.
Beam is wanted for felony escape, and deputies believe he could be armed. He has also previously been charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm and fleeing with reckless indifference.

In December of 2023, Beam was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, and one count of possession of bald eagle parts.
