PLEASANT VALLEY, W.Va. Due to weather concerns, the Dave McRobie Fly-in Memorial at the Fairmont Municipal Airport has been postponed until April 13.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 6.

The Fairmont State University Aviation Center of Excellence (ACE) will host the event on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

David McRobie was a supporter of the ACE and donated his Cessna 172 N aircraft to the program. McRobie wanted to see his aircraft helping to train the pilots responsible for the future of aviation. McRobie’s plane has flown countless hours to train hundreds of pilots. In 2022, Mr. McRobie sadly passed away, and the fly-in is a way for the ACE to honor his legacy.

The event is free and open to the public and includes fly-ins, cornhole competitions, raffles, a chance to win a discovery flight, a spot-landing competition, and more.
