KINGWOOD, W.Va. — The Preston County teacher accused of using duct tape on a student during class has been indicted by a grand jury.
Cassandra Sisler, 43, of Terre Alta, was a teacher at Central Middle School when she was charged with four counts of child abuse last October.
Sisler allegedly used duct tape from ear-to-ear over the mouth and taped his hands together on a separate occasion. Documents said Sisler even got stronger tape and on another occasion wrapped it around his head and shoulders covering his mouth.
State troopers conducted the investigation and said the student reported soreness to the lips due to the incidents.
Sisler is being represented by Westover attorney Jeffrey Culpepper.
