MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. A Masontown man is facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop with troopers from the West Virginia State Police.

On Thursday, troopers stopped a car driven by Terry Sanders, 49, on Route 7 for not using a turn signal.

Troopers said Sanders appeared nervous and sweating and refused to make eye contact.

When Sanders got out of the vehicle, he told Troppers he had a controlled substance inside. He then told troopers he had an ounce of fentanyl and a firearm in the vehicle.

During a search, troopers said they found fentanyl, two other controlled substances, a loaded firearm, and a set of scales.

Sanders has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
