DELAWARE, Oh. — A former city manager in Morgantown has been named to the same position in the community of Delaware, Ohio.

Paul Brake served ascity manager in Morgantown from 2017 to 2020 before taking the same post in Royal Oak, Michigan. Brake left the job in Royal Oak in November of 2023.

In Delaware, Brake takes over for TomHoman who is retiring after serving the city for 26 years. Homan has agreed to stay on through July to help with transition before Brake begins duties on August 1.

Delaware is included in the Columbus metropolitan area and is a community of about 41,000, according to the 2020 U.S. Census. The city has a general fund budget of about $37 million and employs 226 people.
