KINGWOOD, W.Va. — An Albright woman has been charged after an altercation reported at the Circle K on West Main Street in Kingwood.

On Friday, police made contact with the victim who had blood in and around her mouth and holding an ice pack on the right side of her head. The victim told police she was attacked by Johnna Goines and another person.

The victim was transported to the Preston Memorial Hospital for treatment and did not remember the incident.

A witness to the incident told police the victim got into a verbal altercation with Goines and another person. During the altercation the witness told police Goines was very animated, waving her hands in the air and cussing.

The witness told police when the victim walked up to a car Goines was in she opened the door and hit her. When the victim fell to the ground Goines jumped on her and continued to hit her.

Goines has been charged with malicious wounding and is being held on a $25,000 bond in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
