CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The U.S. Marshals Service is searching for a potentially violent subject and are looking for help from the public.
Carl Leon Nicholson, 60, is wanted for failure to update sex offender registry, sexual assault, and domestic violence in Gilmer County.
Nicholson ia a white male, 5-feet 9-inches, 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Nicholson was last seen Dec. 23, 2022, driving a silver 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, WV Plate 2RK964. That vehicle was found burned Dec. 30, 2022 on Haymond Rocks Road in Mount Clare.
After interviewing more than 60 associates and family members since his dissappearance police have developed no leads.
The United States Marshals Service is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to locating Nicholson.
