SALEM, W.Va. — Troopers from the West Virginia State Police confiscated a large quantity of methamphetamine and made three arrests in Salem Thursday.

Troopers executed the search warrant at an apartment on Main Street and made contact with Clarence Rheinhardt, Jonie Mayle and Raymond Thompson and found a large amount of methamphetamine, about $200 in cash, scales, and five weapons.

Police said the trio are not unfamiliar to police. Thompson has been convicted of the manufacture, sale, delivery or holding offering sale of a controlled substance in Pennsylvania; Rheinhardt, convicted of domestic battery in Harrison County in 2019; and Mayle has a 2017 domestic battery conviction in Harrison County.

Thompson has been charged with possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to commit a felony, and five counts of prohibited person in possession of firearms.

Rheinhardt and Mayle have been charged with possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony.

All three are being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
