CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Four have been indicted for violating federal firearms laws in northern West Virginia.
Todd M. Houston, 35, of Morgantown, and Kayla N. Taylor, 33, of Montrose, have been charged with conspiracy to straw purchase firearms in Monongalia County. Damson and Houston were taken into custody while attempting to sell boxes of ammunition at an area pawn shop.
Christopher S. Damson, 27, of Kernersville, North Carolina has been charged with unlawful possession of ammunition. Damson is prohibited from having firearms because of a domestic violence protective order issued in Lee County, Florida.
In a separate case, Jonathon Wade Cochran, 42, of Shinnston, has been indicted for the unlawful possession of a firearm. Cochran was found in Harrison County with a 9mm pistol and is prohibited from having weapons due to prior methamphetamine, burglary, and firearms convictions in Monongalia, Marion, and Harrison Counties.
