AURORA, W.Va. Deputies in Preston County have arrested a 39-year-old man after he allegedly fired a weapon near his home while a family was inside.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to a residence on Brookside Road in Aurora for a shots fired call and observed Donald Nair, 39, of Aurora, with a loaded firearm in his hand.

Nair was detained by deputies, and under questioning, he told them he was firing the weapon in front of his home.

Nair was arrested after deputies found bullet holes about four feet away from the home where two children and an adult were.

Nair has been charged with wanton endangerment and is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
