ELKINS, W.Va. — A worksite fight in Randolph County has left one worker recovering at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with a brain bleed and several broken bones in his face.

On Aug. 2, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department were called to the Davis Medical Center on a report that a victim of a fight had been brought to the emergency room.

The victim told deputies he was working on the Mickey Heart Bridge with Jarrod Kile, 45, when he saw Kile fighting with another employee and attempted to intervene. At that point, Kile began fighting with the victim.

Deputies said the victim has severe swelling between the eyes and forehead, swollen eyes, a cut above his elbow and a bloody lip.

During a phone call between deputies and Kile he told them he was arguing with the males who put hands on him and he hit them.

After the initial report was filed, deputies learned the victim was flown to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with a brain bleed and multiple broken bones in his face.

Kile has been charged with malicious wounding and is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
