FAIRMONT, W,Va. — A Fairmont woman has been sentenced for her role in the beating death and robbery of a Michigan man.
Shekea Fox has been sentenced to 71 to 75 years for first degree robbery, assault during commission of a felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Fox and Naquan Warren conspired to rob Sean Gardiner of drugs and money while he slept in a Fairmont home in 2022.
Warren was found guilty of first degree murder and denied mercy in August.
Marion County prosecutor Jeffery Freeman said Fox will be eligible forparole in about 18 1/2 years.
During the sentencing hearing, the mother and aunt of Gardiner testified.
Fox avoided a murder charge in the deal she struck with the prosecution in exchange for testimony against Warren.
