ROCK CAVE, W.Va. — Deputies from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department took an intoxicated woman into for driving with two small children and explosives in the car.
Ashley Galloway, 32, was stopped on Gaines Road in Rock Cave with children ages 3 and 5 in the car.
During the stop deputies said Galloway was making erratic movements and appeared to be under the influence.
When deputies located a container with suspected methamphetamine in it Galloway began to scream about bombs being in the car.
Deputies found two CO2 cartridges with a green ignition fuse in the end in the sunglass holder of the vehicle. Galloway told deputies she was taking the devices to the magistrate to use as proof for a protective order she was seeking against her husband, who she said made the devices.
Deputies also located another bag of suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia in the car.
Galloway is charged with child neglect, DUI with a minor, and possession of methamphetamine.
Galloway is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $510,000 bond.
