CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Two Michigan men convicted of selling methamphetamine in Monongalia County been sentenced to a combined total of more than 20 years in federal prison.
Giovanni George, 34, of Taylor, Michigan, was sentenced today to 141 months (11.75 years) in federal prison. Addonis Moore, 29, of Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced to 121 months (10 years).
Court documents said the two were part of a conspiracy that operated from Michigan to Monongalia County. The operation was compromised when police found the pair with a pound of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
George has been ordered to serve three years of supervised release after release; Moore will serve five years of supervised release.
While Moore has a history of drug violations in Michigan, George has a criminal history that includes domestic battery, unlawful assault, witness intimidation, violation of a protective order, robbery, wanton endangerment, and drug charges.
