BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. — Members of the U.S. Marshals Service are searching for an inmate who walked away from a satellite camp near U.S.P. Hazelton Monday afternoon.
Roger Austin, 53, walked away from the camp at 4:15 p.m. Monday and is described as a white male, 5-feet 11-inches, 218 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
In 2018, Austin was sentenced to 255 months (21.25 years) for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Austin has a history of drug and gun violations.
An internal investigation is ongoing into the facility referred to as a minimum security unit.
