FAIRMONT, W.Va. –– One of three indicted in a drug-related killing in Fairmont has been sentenced to life in prison.
Illes Wiiliams was 17-years old in March of 2023 when a plan he hatched with Zeighshawn Meade who was 18 at the time, and Jayden Cheriza to rob Clayton Peck of marijuana he brought to sell them ended in Peck’s murder at the Fairmont Hills Apartments.
When Peck traveled to Fairmont from Frostburg, Maryland to sell the marijuana to Williams, he was shot in a robbery attempt that went bad.
Williams, Meade, and Cheriza were all captured within days of the the crime after attempting to flee the area.
Williams will receive credit for time already served and could be eligible for parole in 13 years. Due to his age at thetimeof the crime Williams was not given additional time for conspiracy and burglary.
Zeighshawn Meade is awaiting tril at the North Centra; Regional Jail.
Jayden Cheriza is awaiting trial in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
