MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — National Drug Take Back Day is is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at multiple locations throughout the Morgantown area.

Unused, expired, and unwanted prescription or over-the-counter medications can be dropped off at Kroger locations, the Pierpont Pharmacy, the disposal kiosk at the Univerisity Police Department on Elmer Prince Drive, and the Sam’s Club Pharmacy in Granville.

The twice-annual event sponsored by the DEA is safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs preventing theft and abuse.

In addition to unused or expired prescription and non-prescription pills, resident s can also bring e-cigarettes, vaping devices, and prescription ointments. Bring the items in the original bottle or in a clear, sealed bag. Do not bring illegal drugs, pressurized canisters, needles, large sources of liquids, non-prescription ointments, or lotions.
