UPDATE 6:25 am: Both northbound and southbound lanes have been reopened.
UPDATE 5:42 am: I-79 Northbound has been reopened. Both southbound lanes remain closed. Traffic is still be diverted at the Mount Morris exit.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Interstate 79 is shutdown in both directions this morning after an overnight tractor-trailer accident.
According to 911 officials, a tanker truck rolled over near mile marker 157 around 11:00 Tuesday night. No injuries were reported. Crews have been working through the night to clear the accident scene.
Northbound traffic is being diverted off the highway at Exit 155 and directed to US Route 19. Southbound traffic is also being detoured to US Route 19 at the Mount Morris exit.
