MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three Monongalia County delegates who were uncontested in their re-election bids are headed back to serve another two years in Charleston.
Republican Joe Statler was re-elected to serve in the 77th District. He served in the House between 2014 and 2018 before falling short in the multi-member district in 2018. Statler was re-elected to the House in 2020 and 2022.
Democrat Evan Hansen will continue serving the 79th District. Hansen was first elected in 2018 and will begin his fourth term in the House.
In the 81st District, Democrat Anitra Hamilton was elected for the first time but will serve her second term. Hamilton was appointed to the House in 2022 following the resignation of former Delegate Danielle Walker.
