CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A Clarksburg resident has been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal for the distribution of methamphetamine.

Police said Jack F. Gibbins, 47, had a criminal history involving domestic battery, escape from custody, violation of a protective order, and drug trafficking when he fled on a motorcycle from an attempted traffic stop with police. After a short pursuit, he was taken into custody and found with methamphetamine in his pocket.

Gibbins has been ordered to serve 210 months (17.5 years) in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
