WESTON, W.Va. — A former minister and his wife have been accused more than 60 cases sexual abuse and assault in Lewis County that date back 20 years.

In October, a state police investigation into sexual misconduct in Nicholas County by John Radcilff, 57, uncovered the possibility of other evidence in claims that he sexually assaulted five juveniles in Lewis County.

Troopers were able to interview all five victims in the case.

In one case the victim told police the sexual abuse started at the age of three and continued at least until age 8.

Another victim described being 10 or 12-years old when John and his wife Kathy participated in sex acts as they watched.

One of the victims told police she was sure Kathy knew about her husbands sexual misconduct.

Another victim reported sexual abuse at the age 4 and another has reports from when she was in elementary school.

Court documents said that the victims offered their stories as early as 2004, but the investigations never reached the point of charges being filed. In that case, one of the victims said Kathy called to apologize and told her she believed her reports of abuse by her husband.

John Radcliff has been charged with the following counts in Lewis County:
26 counts of sexual abuse
35 counts of sexual assault
40 counts of incest
1 count of display of obscene material to a minor
He is being held on a $1.7 million bail.

Kathy Radcliff has been charged with principle and display of obscene material to a minor. She is being held on a $75,000 bail.
