WESTON, W.Va.-– A Weston woman was arrested and charged with child neglect Monday after responding to a report of a potential domestic violence report.

Deputies with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department said the Arnold Street home of Heather Horner, 38, was deplorable and four juveniles were living in it.

In the kitchen, deputies found animal feces, trash on the floor, old food containers, and diapers, and the hallway leading to the bedrooms was also covered with trash.

The bedroom used by the children also had trash, clothing, and was in deplorable condition, according to deputies.

In addition to observing two dogs in the home, deputies noted there was trash in every room and some had mold growing on it.

Horner is charged with child neglect creating risk of injury and is currently in the Central Regional Jail.
