MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — The remains recently found in a shallow grave off Little Indian Creek Road November 16 have been identified as Kimberly Osbourne, 47, of Morgantown.
Police and the family have been seeking tips about Osbourne since she was last seen on Mother’s Day in the River Road area.
Preliminary identification is based on an extensive investigation of the scene, body, and statements from others with knowledge of the case.
Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, West Virgnia State Police, ATF, FBI, and the Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office all participated in the seven month investigation.
