MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The “Pride of West Virginia” will bring their ensemble inside the Coliseum for a special performance Wednesday night.

On WAJR’s “Talk of the Town,” Assistant Director of Bands Dr. Cheldon Williams said “Keynotes” will be a highlight reel of favorite performances from home game performances during football season. Each instrument section and the twirlers will be featured during the show.

“It is a review of highlights over the course of the entire football season,” Williams said. “All of our marching band shows and events are something a little special at the end.”

In the Coliseum, Williams expects the sound to be richer and even more vibrant as compared to a performance at Mountaineer Field. Some may want to bring ear protection just in case.

“We have the drumline going and 25 Sousa phones and all of that indoors,” Williams said. “While that is thrilling, it will be a bath of sound while you’re in there.”

The program includes songs from the famous pregame show and favorites from halftime shows throughout this season.

“Not only do we have the full ensemble, we do everybody’s favorite from our pregame shows,” Williams said. “We’ll hear a little bit from each section of the Pride of West Virginia.”

The end of the program will feature the band, which will perform the special holiday arrangement that premiered at the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“The special portion of the show at the end is our Macy’s recap,” Williams said. “We will perform exactly what we performed at Macy’s Herald Square a couple of weeks ago.”

For the fans, there will be a QR code to scan to get a digital program in order to follow along with the performance.

“We would suggest you bring that in with you,” Williams said. “You will scan a QR code, and we will have a digital program.”
