MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Morgantown man has been accused of sending sexually explicit material to minors using multiple accounts over the internet.
During 2024, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received reports from MediaLab and Kik that their services were being used by Brandon Britner, 29, of Morgantown, to transmit sexual material involving minors.
Detectives from the West Virginia State Police determined the material was coming from IP addresses registered to a residence in Morgantown. Detectives then traced the account activity to Britner.
Reports indicate detectives found multiple videos and images of children engaging in sexually explicit conduct when a search warrant on his accounts was executed. Some of the images included selfies of Britner.
Britner admitted to the activity under questioning.
Britner has been charged with the distribution and exhibition of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and is being held in North Central Regional Jail.
