MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The next phase of holiday weather is being influenced by a series of low-pressure systems that will produce rain and the possibility of wind gusts and thunderstorms.
MetroNews Accuweather Meteorologist Mike Kennedy said Saturday will be mostly dry, and the unsettled weather begins to arrive in the overnight.
“When the front comes through on Sunday, we could have strong winds and not necessarily lightning,” Kennedy said. “A lot of the strong winds will mix down to the surface, so we could see winds of 40 to 45 miles per hour.”
Through Monday, Kennedy forecasts we could receive up to 8-tenths of an inch of rain, and above-normal temperatures will be the rule through Tuesday.
The chance of showers lingers into the middle of the week, and high temperatures begin to fall into the 30s by the end of the week.
