CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Fairmont man faces up to 20 years in federal prison after admitting to his role in selling fentanyl laced pills in the area.

Emmanuel D. Gibson, 34, fled from Westover police when they tried to make a traffic stop. Police recovered fentanyl laced pills, other controlled substances, and two firearms after a brief pursuit.

Gibson admitted to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

No sentencing date has been set.
