KINGMONT, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police and the State Fire Marshal are investigating a fire in a vacant Fairmont building.
Firefighters from the Valley Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched 9:05 p.m. Thursday to a fire of unknown origin at a location in Pleasant Valley that was unclear.
Firefighters then located an abandoned house on fire on Deepwoods Lane off Kingmont Road.
Firefighters extingished the fire in the building and an adjacent structure. Trees on the property also caught fir that had to be cut down to eiliminate ther hazard.
No injuries reported and no damage estimate is available.
The Monongah Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
