MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A former coach for West Virginia University’s football team who was arrested last year shortly after Halloween has had the charge against him dropped.
Jordan Lesley, 44, was arrested on Nov. 9 on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge and was placed in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $5,000. The West Virginia Magistrate Court system shows that the charge was later dismissed by Magistrate Dimas Reyes.
Lesley was the defensive coordinator for the WVU Mountaineers under former Head Coach Neal Brown and served in that position for four and a half years. On Oct. 29, just days after WVU’s road win against Arizona, Neal Brown announced that Lesley had been fired.
