WESTON, W.Va. — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, with the help of U.S. Marshals, has arrested a kidnapping suspect in Weston.

Rashaad S. Hairston, 28, of Pittsburgh, is accused of kidnapping a female from Pittsburgh on January 23.

An exhaustive investigation developed critical evidence pointing to Hairston as a prime suspect.

Because of the seriousness of the crime and the likelihood Hairston would be a flight risk, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department conducted the apprehension with the help of the United States Marshals Service Mountain State Fugitive Task Force.
